Crops & Clips: Water, snow and sky

My weekly potpourri gathered from the archives features an unsettled sky, a sun-struck egret, a vigilant hawk, a retreating coyote and a handsomely coiffured duck with family.

CRITTERS: Mom doesn't think they are ugly ducklings

How would this be possible with such a handsome Dad? Well, I see he spends a lot of time on his hairdo!

  6. I came for the "good fences" but got lost in looking at all the other photos too. That duck is the single ugliest critter I've seen in a while. Maybe ever. LOL

  20. Seeing an egret in the distance across water was a favorite of mine as a child. Beautiful reflections in the water. The Muscovy duck and her ducklings is so cute too. I'm still wanting to see how the babies are transformed into adults.
