@Christian-- a purist would not call them HDR photos, as this implies that they have been created from multiple captures of the same scene with varying exposures. I imitated this effect from one JPG original by creating 5 different exposures and then layering them and combining them to achieve a similar effect. It amazes me that doing this "releases" so much more detail and color which was right there in the original photo all the time! Following this procedure with a RAW image would probably achieve even more impressive results.
The desert has a special, haunting beauty all its own - something I hadn't appreciated till I lived in New Mexico years ago and was indeed enchanted by the Land of Enchantment. And talk about big, beautiful skies! These are wonderful photos, thank you for sharing!
